A Family-Run Campsite
In 2001, we — Helle and Jari — purchased Nymindegab Camping. Here, we didn’t just create a campsite; we built a haven where our daughters, Anne and Sofie, grew up with sand between their toes and the camping life all around them.
For Anne, the campsite was her playground. And even though she once said, “I’ll never own a campsite,” the camping life had left its mark. In 2021, Anne and her husband, Mikkel, became co-owners of the campsite alongside us. We later expanded by acquiring Houstrup Camping and Tipperne.
"Making it easy to relax" is not just our slogan — it’s our way of life. As a family, we run the site together, develop it in unity, and create the perfect setting for your holiday memories. For us, it’s about connection and sharing wonderful experiences.

Social Responsibility – We Believe in People
As a family-run campsite, we know that it’s the people who make the difference. That’s why it’s natural for us to be part of Code of Care Varde, where we, together with other local businesses, create opportunities for individuals facing various challenges.
In 2024, we have four social employment positions that not only enrich our workplace but also add value to society as a whole. It’s about giving space to diversity and believing that everyone has something meaningful to contribute.
In collaboration with Jobcenter Varde, we work purposefully to create meaningful job opportunities. For this effort, we have been awarded the GROW certificate for social sustainability — a recognition we are proud of. However, what we are most proud of is the positive impact we can make within our local community.
With our four social employment positions in 2024, we have generated a societal value of 478,950 DKK in social impact:
- State: 168,653 DKK
- Region: 96,331 DKK
- Municipality: 213,966 DKK
We Are Green Camping Certified
We are proud to have achieved Green Camping certification — a recognition of our commitment to sustainability at our campsite. This means that we meet strict environmental standards and continuously work to minimize our impact on nature.
From our new waste-sorting system to our focus on energy consumption, we make active efforts to protect the environment. As our guest, you also contribute to the green transition — together, we make camping more sustainable.
Welcome to Authentic West Jutland Camping with Heart
Where the fjord meets the sea, our family-owned campsite offers a peaceful retreat in stunning West Jutland nature. Here, there’s room to connect and time to relax. Enjoy our water park, heated to 27°C from May to September, and winter swimming with sauna access the rest of the year. Let the kids explore the playground while you unwind in the tranquil surroundings. We create the setting — you create the memories.
